Apply the rules of grammar, usage and mechanics precisely, but within the parameters of this author’s subject matter, style, genre and purpose.
Give honest, tactful praise and criticism as needed to assist the author, neither discouraging nor misleading.
Approach the author’s material objectively and respectfully, regardless of personal beliefs, values or biases.
Maintain a sense of humor and a keen understanding of human weakness, knowing that everyone, even the best editor, makes mistakes.
All Write! editing services are provided via email, using MS Word. Each page returned to you will clearly show your original text as well as our corrections or suggested improvements. We will edit to the level of depth you request, from a light correction of grammar and mechanics to a full-scale content-edit with unlimited improvements. You will also receive a “clean copy” so you can see immediately the effects of accepting our suggestions. However, the decision to accept or reject each proposed change remains with you.
